bankruptcy foreclosures

Are bankruptcy, foreclosure and adoption analogous terms?

People are always saying that adoption is good. A blessing. A win-win.

But isn’t a woman giving up her child to adoption much like a person filing for bankruptcy, or losing their home to foreclosure? All three of these *solutions* are meant to resolve catastrophic, desperate situations. But only adoption is a permanent “solution” to a life altering event.

Or do I have it backwards and foreclosure and bankruptcy are like adoptions–a good thing? Should we celebrate families being ousted from their homes that are taken away in foreclosure? Or have celebrations after bankruptcy court decisions?

Looking forward to your thoughts…

Good analogy. Whereas forclosure is the failure to sustain your responsibility towards your own property, and bankruptcy the failure to keep your company afloat, let alone making a profit, adoption is your inability to preserve family life.

Surrendering the upbringing of your child, which should be the most important and the most beautiful part of having a child is definitely a bankruptcy…
