foreclosure connecticut

How do I find a list of bank owned foreclosures in my area?

We are looking to buy a house and have the benefit of being able to pay cash. I feel that I would be able to leverage this the most by buying a foreclosed property off a bank at a discount. Unfortunately this real estate market has made many lose their homes, we were fortunate enough not to be in the real estate market and want to take advantage of the opportunity. I am in Connecticut.

The days of foreclosures selling for pennies on the dollar are pretty much ancient history. There are some smoking deals out there, but they are few & far between and are more often than not, in the upper price ranges.

And the banks aren’t into negotiating for cash. They are starting to offer the homes at fair prices and taking the best offer that comes along. The only thing that cash holds for them is the lack of appraisal.

Foreclosures that are for sale are listed with the MLS. http://www.realtor.com lists them and often highlights homes that are foreclosures. Your agent also has lists that she can forward onto you.
