foreclosure kentucky

Foreclosure. How does this work?

I am in Kentucky and I just spoke to my Attorney who said I could let it go into foreclosure. I am so afraid of coming home and a new lock being on my house. I have dogs and do not want them locked in and me locked out. I also need to find someplace to rent and this could take a month or two with my work hours. How long does this usually take. My Attorney said about a year but I am finding that hard to believe.

4-6 months is the norm.

You should also talk to a Certified Distressed Property Expert, they will give you some additional advice and information for FREE, they may very well be able to help you avoid foreclosure, and you only pay them if they do. They are specially trained real estate agents, who work on the same commission as others.

There is a website, http://www.cpre.com where you can find one. I am not associated with this, not even an agent. However, I spend a LOT of time helping my extended family save their homes or avoid foreclosure and I have found these agents to be very knowledgeable and helpful. Cheaper then an attorney too!
