Bankruptcy Question Chapter 7?
How long do you have to wait to refile Chapter 7 in Miami Florida? Also, can you file add a foreclosure for 250,000 when you file Chapter 7?
Typically you have to wait 8 years in Florida, however, the law may have changed in the last few months.
I believe you can file for foreclosure with a Chapter 7… when you include the house you get $10,000 worth of personal belongings to keep instead of the $2,000 – $2,500 you would get to keep if the house were not included. (That’s what I remember but it may be different now)
The best thing you could do is find a lawyer that specializes in foreclosures and bankruptcies to help guide you through the process. It can get very complicated and intimidating without someone who knows what they are doing.
