Buying a house in foreclosure?
I am a first time home buyer and this process is extremely tiring! I fell in love with a home which was an amazing deal ($256k home for $100k). So I called the agent listed on the posting. Talk about rude and very unpleasant attitude??! She stated to me that the home should have been removed off the website because it was going through foreclosure. Well, I did my research and the house was forclosed in July of this year so I do not know what she was talking about. She also stated that it would take approx. 6 months to a year to get out of foreclosure. Now im not a dummy and I’ve never heard of this. I believe the government now owns the home so I would like to know who to contact and what to do. I am a very determined individual and won’t take no as an answer. And I refuse to give that agent a dime of my money or time. Your ideas, answers and opinions are welcomed! Thanks
Call a local title company and ask them for a proprerty profile. This will tell you who the owner is, if it was forcloswd on or is a forclosure. It will give you the conact person and pHone number.
As far as the rude agent, send a certified letter to her, her broker and the local Board of Realtors. They will investigate her and the Broker.
Pleade contact the Owner of the property yourself and then look for a Buyers agent so that you don’t have to deal with rudendss.
