Will they foreclose on my condo because of the lien?
I had a lien placed on my condo last June 2010 for $1,800. My condo is now valued at $60,000. I am current on mortgage payments. I live in Florida. I am thinking it will take awhile as I live in Florida where there are many people losing their homes. Also, the condo community I live in has a high rate of foreclosures. Will they foreclose on my property? I am thinking about filing bankruptcy as I was unemployed for over a year and ran up my credit cards to live on. I plan on including the condo in my bankruptcy as well. I had planned to on filing bankruptcy in June but may do so a lot sooner. How long do you think I have before foreclosure proceeding begin? Thanks for your help.
It was placed by the Homeowners Associates for past due maintenance expenses.
As long as you are making the payment they cannot foreclose on your condo.
