How long did it take your house to get walk throughs?
Our house has been on the market 8 days and been viewed nearly 3,000 times online but we have had no calls and walk throughs. Realtor said it may take a week or two until we get calls but I am afraid its just the bad market, any thoughts? It’s not a short sale or foreclosure, I know thats what some may be looking for.
What are the comps? If similarly sized homes in your neighborhood are priced lower, people will look at those first. Your price might be too high. People are clicking on your page, and trying to figure out why yours is listed at a premium.
Also, if you are competing against a bunch of foreclosures, short sales, or developer owned new homes, they will drive the value of your house down. They are actually using your price to justify the value of theirs. That’s a vicious circle, that you can’t win. In that case, it may be better to rent out your home until the bargain basement stuff gets sold.
