pre foreclosure homes for rent

Landlord going into foreclosure…?

Me and my husband just moved into the condo were renting 2 months ago. We gave them $1100.00 for a deposit and a week ago we got summon papers that said the property was going into foreclosure. We rented through a rental company and when I called him to ask him what was going on he said the owner is going to do a loan modification and to keep paying rent as usual. After doing some research I have read there is no programs for rental properties. Is this true? Also we have talked to a bank and a Realtor about buying a house instead of renting and they said everything looks good, we are just waiting for the pre-approval. Should we just not pay anymore rent and save our money for buying a home. And if we do that how long do we have until they kick us out?
Can I claim constructive eviction?

Even if you could get away with it, why would you do that to your credit? you got approval for a mortgage because you have good credit… dont pay your rent and say goodbye to banks lending you anymore money.

Pay your rent until you leave.
