rental foreclosure rights
We are being forced to move out of our rental ( house ) due to a hidden foreclosure status .?
A copy of the Auction sale notice was left at our door by someone . We are currently signed on a month to month Leasee , since 2 / 2007 and the auction date sale is to take place on 6 – 12 – 08 at the Santa Ana Ca. Courthouse Building
Questions : How soon after the auction sale date of the house do we legally have to pack up and move out ? What rights do we have ? Can we prolong our stay , since we have not been given any official notice of Eviction or certified letter document of any kind ?
Your contract was with the old owner of the home. The bank is now the new owner and they are selling the home right out from under you.
You do not have a signed agreement with the bank and they can just have you removed.
Look for suitable housing right away. Do not pay the rent for next month. Let the bank give you your security deposit to move.
