Is there such thing as a foreclosure agent (Bay Area)?
We are looking for property in Concord but can’t afford the high price for stuff that sold for $250-350K five years ago and that was built in the 50′s for $20K. We saw numerous foreclosures in the area that are affordable but are not sophisticated in this area. Is there a foreclosure specialist who can help us?
With some research and practice you can do it on your own. You don’t need to spend the money to have someone help you.
First, you will want to find out everything you can about the foreclosure process in California. Now, I know that California is a trustee state which means that the whole foreclosure process (from Notice of Default to Auction) is only a few months.
Look for resources in your area that can help educate you on the foreclosure process.
There are a number of sites in the Bay area (I’m sorry I don’t know any specifically right now) that specialize in foreclosures only in that area. You want to find companies like that. They will provide you with accurate listings and will also provide you with the basics about the process. From there they will probably have many tips and reading materials that you can use to learn even more.
If you are patient and research to the fullest extent then there is no reason that you should have to hire someone. You can do it, just don’t rush and find out all you can.
Good Luck!!!
