wisconsin foreclosures for sale
questions about eviction?
i have posted a couple questions about my family being evicted due to a foreclosure in wisconsin. the home was sold at sheriff sale, and the sheriff finally came to serve papers saying we had to be out of the house on friday of this week. we knew the day was coming, and have very little options as to what we will do. we contacted the sheriff and asked if there was anyway that we could possibly get a little more time, and they said we would have to contact the courts. has anyone had any experience with this? do you think we could possible get a couple more weeks to maybe get something planned? thanks everyone for all your kind words and help over this matter, and i hope someone has additional answers.
I don’t know Wisconsin law, but I do know that once an eviction notice is sent through by a judge, the only thing that can be done to stop the process is payment. With the foreclosure in full force and this notice, there is really nothing you can do but get your stuff out of there. It’s a lot of work and seems overwhelming but start tomorrow so you have the week to get out. If you don’t have friends or family to help store your belongings, contact area churches for help with a storage unit or even space to store your things. Don’t ignore the decree; it’s not going away.
